WHAT HAPPENED?

The ex-Chelsea defender, who also crafted his trade with Wrexham later in his career, spoke at length to finance group Stocklytics about the state of the Welsh club.

Sinclair believes that although the Red Dragons have made immense progress under Parkinson, come the future, it may be time to move on from the now-55-year-old. His lack of top-flight experience worries the former Jamaica international, but he doesn’t want the club to be drastic with their decision-making, either.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Parkinson led the Red Dragons to promotion last campaign, seeing them out of the National League and into the English Football League. Nearly halfway into the campaign, Wrexham sit second in the League Two standings, five points out of first place.

Per Sinclair, the Premier League dream is at least ’10 years’ away, so for now, it’s safe to say Parkinson is going nowhere.
