“It’s Going To Be Tough” Jaelan Phillips Expresses Concerns For Dolphins’ Defense Following Absence Of Emmanuel Ogbah And Xavien Howard

The talented linebacker of the Miami Dolphins, Jaelan Phillips is recently making progress in his recovery from the Achilles injury he suffered. The Miami Dolphins have also made changes to their defense in his absence.

The Dolphins squad has released Emmanuel Ogbah and they are also in line to release cornerback Xavien Howard. With this move the Dolphins will have a salary cap space as it was imperative for the squad before the 2024 Draft.

Phillips also shared that the above-mentioned moves by the squad will create a gap on his end of the field. According to Pro Football Talk via South Florida Sun-Sentinel, he said, “It’s going to be tough. Me, personally, Emmanuel was somebody who had me under his wings since I came in as a rookie. It’s really unfortunate to see him go, but the team’s going to rally around each other. Definitely going to miss my brother. Same thing with X. Those two were staples on this team for quite a while.”

Why Dolphins fans don't need to worry about the Jaelan Phillips loss

The defense of the Dolphins will be charged up once Phillips rejoins after recovering from his injury. However, as per the report, the Dolphins will have to find the right candidate to take the helm which was once handled by Howard.
