Celtic centre-forward Kyogo Furuhashi scored a goal of sheer brilliance in Saturday’s Glasgow derby. Early in the second half, the Japanese hitman finished wonderfully into the top-right corner to give his side a 2-0 lead.
His goal, which was among the best the home fans had witnessed in derbies, eventually went on to be the decider. Post-match, the player posted on Instagram, thanking the fans for their support:
In the calendar year of 2023, Kyogo scored seven times against Rangers. He truly is the nemesis of the Govan side and has gained the knack for scoring in Glasgow derbies.
It is astounding to think that some pundits doubted the 28-year-old going into this afternoon’s match because he is more than capable of scoring a goal like he did. His strike will be played for years to come, and it could well go down in the same category as Henrik Larsson’s iconic chip in the year 2000.
