Everton set for more new investors alongside Dan Friedkin in £499m takeover twist
Everton are set to welcome a new wave of minority shareholders while Dan Friedkin works on finalising his full takeover of the club.
Friedkin is currently engaged in exclusive talks with current owner Farhad Moshiri, and the Premier League are expected to ratify the deal once the finer points are ironed out. British-Iranian businessman Moshiri currently owns 94.1 per cent of Everton having first invested back in 2016.
The remaining equity is owned by are owned by over 2,000 individual shareholders, with the late Bill Kenwright’s estate accounting for around three quarters of the total non-Moshiri shares.
Shares are rarely traded.
