Speaking during a recent interview with WWE’s The Bump, McIntyre named his favorite match of all time: his WWE Championship clash against Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle in 2022.
Held in Cardiff, Wales, Clash at the Castle marked WWE’s first major stadium event in the United Kingdom in over 30 years, and McIntyre stood in the main event spotlight. For McIntyre, who grew up dreaming of moments like this, the event was more than just a title shot—it was personal.
“That night meant everything to me,” McIntyre said. “I’ve been part of WrestleMania, I’ve won titles, but Clash at the Castle was different. It was the first time I truly felt the entire crowd was behind me, not just as a performer but as one of their own. The UK fans made it feel like a homecoming.”
