Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler join Foo Fighters for ‘Paranoid’ in Birmingham

Foo Fighters recently performed the 1970 Black Sabbath classic hit ‘Paranoid’, featuring Geezer Butler.

On the evening of June 27, the Foo Fighters ended their UK tour with a grand finale in Birmingham, Villa Park.

Dave teased a special guest who ‘grew up three streets away from here’ but had ‘never played’ at the football pitch as the band performed a 25-song set for their devoted fans.

Fans were stunned when they invited Geezer Butler, the renowned bassist of Black Sabbath and a Birmingham native, to join them in performing the iconic metal track ‘Paranoid’.

During the performance, Butler took charge of the bass, while Dave Grohl, leaving his guitar aside, emulated Ozzy Osbourne’s stage presence and vocals.

Footage of the performance, captured by fans, can be seen below.
