Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a summer swoop for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, as per Evening Standard.
Hackney has been a standout performer in the Championship with Middlesbrough this season. The 21-year-old was on target on Tuesday night as his goal ensured a crucial one-goal advantage for Michael Carrick’s side in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
Boro are now prepared for a barrage of transfer offers in the summer for the England u21 International who is attracting interest from clubs Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
Hackney’s contract at the Riverside Stadium will run until June 2027 and Transfermarkt values the midfielder at £6m.
