Tottenham aiming to pull off stunning January deal for a midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly targeting a £25 million deal for teenage sensation Arthur Vermeeren.

Despite his young age, Vermeeren played a pivotal role in securing Royal Antwerp’s Pro League title last season, a historic triumph after 66 years.

The teenager’s stellar performances haven’t gone unnoticed, attracting interest from Premier League giants Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham.

All three clubs have had scouts sent to watch him play and according to The Sun, Spurs are now aiming to pull off a stunning deal for the Belgian wonderkid.

It says that they are now ahead of the competition as they fancy a deal with a similar structure to the one they pulled off to sign David Udogie last summer.

Vermeeren has been a consistent presence for Antwerp, playing every minute for them in their Champions League this season.

His notable contribution includes opening the scoring within two minutes during a remarkable 3-2 upset against Barcelona on the final matchday.

Daniel Levy appears to be following a trend of investing in the future, evident in their recent acquisition of Italian youngster Destiny Udogie.

The potential addition of Arthur Vermeeren suggests he could be one of the future stars for Spurs.
