Postecoglou offers Kulusevski injury update

It was a disappointing evening for the Lilywhites at the Amex Stadium, with their run of three straight victories ended by Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

It was just the second time that Spurs have conceded four in a game this season (they were down to nine men against Chelsea on the previous occasion) but Postecoglou insisted that he could not fault the players’ efforts, insisting that they looked tired.

Kulusevski was in the thick of the action, conceding a penalty in the first half with a silly challenge in the box.

The Swede picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, which means that he is suspended for Tottenham’s upcoming clash against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Dejan Kulusevski is being checked at Tottenham

The 23-year-old was then on the receiving end of a poor challenge from Lewis Dunk on 82 minutes, with the Brighton centre-back lucky to escape with just a caution, and the Tottenham man soldiered on until the final whistle.

When asked about Kulusevski, Postecoglou told The Standard in his post-match press conference: “I think [he’s OK], we’re checking him out.”
