Injured Tottenham star eyes early return next week

Tottenham were given bad news yesterday as Ange revealed that Richarlison has suffered a knee injury and will be out for three to four weeks.

Fortunately, in a stroke of luck, the Brazilian striker could return for Spurs in their upcoming league fixture against Aston Villa next week.

In an interview with ESPN Brazil (via The Spurs Watch) after the comeback win against Palace earlier today, Richarlison provided a positive update on his injury, mentioning that he is already back in training in the coming week and could be available for the match at Villa Park.

However, Dan Kilpatrick, who also shared the Brazilian’s claim, was quick to point out that Ange has insisted that he is out for two to three weeks.

Richarlison was in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the derby game between Spurs and Crystal Palace, sporting a stylish retro top.

The 26-year-old was in incredible form before being sidelined by the injury. The former Everton player scored 9 goals in his last 10 starts in the league.

The recent run of form marked a remarkable turnaround for the player, particularly given his underwhelming start this season, when he scored only one goal in the first ten Premier League games.

Ange Postecoglou would undoubtedly hope for the swift recovery of his number 9, allowing Richarlison to pick up right where he left off.
