Tottenham Hotspur will clash heads with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium on Thursday night as they look to secure a positive result on the road in the Premier League. Spurs managed to earn a narrow 2-1 win over Everton recently which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will feature in between the sticks for Spurs after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Cristian Romero, who is a slight concern ahead of this game, will function alongside Ben Davies at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they focus on keeping things solid on the defensive third of the pitch
Pedro Porro will get a chance to shine as the right-back while Destiny Udogie hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Eric Dier will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Dejan Kulusevski, Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr will make up Tottenham’s midfield as they look to dictate the tempo of the game in the middle of the park. All three of them need to be at their best if Spurs want to collect maximum points from the Amex this week.
Giovani Lo Celso will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on in the latter stages if required.
Attack
Heung-min Son will be a nailed-on starter as the left-winger while Brennan Johnson hopes to catch the eye on the right flank. Richarlison will spearhead Postecoglu’s attack down the middle. He would be eager to find the back of the net against Brighton this Thursday night.
Bryan Gil will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
