£30m player now calls Tottenham a ‘big club’ after they want to sign him

Tottenham Hotspur had some lofty targets for January, and they deserve a lot of compliments for the way in which they’ve started.

Radu Dragusin looks close to following Timo Werner through the door, a remarkable pull for the club considering Bayern Munich’s interest.

And it seems as if Postecoglou’s new era and project is now really gathering momentum in North London.

The gloomy days of Antonio Conte have been forgotten, and Postecoglou has changed the club’s trajectory.

Part of the manager’s philosophy is handing opportunities to young players and helping them fulfil their potential.

And with that in mind, Tottenham have previously been linked with a move for 18-year-old Roony Bardghji who has been taking Europe by storm.

The £30m-rated winger looks to have huge potential, and he’s receiving a lot of interest whilst playing for FC Copenhagen.

That being said, Bardghji has already stepped foot in North London before when he had a trial with Tottenham at the age of 12.

Bardghji has been speaking to The Athletic about the experience and was full of compliments for the club.

Tottenham target Roony Bardghji compliments the club following his past trial

Speaking at length about his career thus far, the Swede said the opportunity was an eye-opener being at such a prestigious club.

Discussing his trial, Bardghji said: “It was a really good experience, seeing the level and how football is outside Sweden, being at a big club like Tottenham and seeing how they work.”

Of course, these compliments could bode well for Tottenham if they decide to target Bardghji in the future.

It seems as if Spurs would have to fight off a lot of competition for the winger if they did seek a deal, however, it could be worth their time.

It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if Bryan Gil left Tottenham in the near future, he doesn’t seem key to Postecoglou’s plans.

And a new winger could really complement Tottenham’s squad.

A profile like Bardghji’s could provide excellent balance, a player who could compete with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson.

That being said, Ally McCoist was convinced that Spurs should make a different kind of signing to finish their window.
