Ryan Dicker says Crewe Alexandra will go for all three points at Colchester United tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).
A draw in the final game of the regular League Two season would be enough to ensure a place in the Pla-Offs for The Railwaymen.
But the Assistant Manager says they will be focused on taking a maximum return in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Dicker said: “Our main focus is on getting back to performing the way we did to get into this position.
“I think it shows how well we did in the first two-thirds of the season that we are where we are.
“We want to get into the Play-Offs on our own merit, so we can have some momentum. If we end up scraping through it won’t be the same, so we are fully focused on getting three points.”
The U’s also need a point to be sure of League Two survival. They were beaten 4-1 at home by Doncaster in midweek, leaving them three points and four goals better off than second-bottom Sutton United.
Dicker added: “We expect a reaction from Tuesday. We’ve watched their game back and they started well and, even when they went behind, they had moments when they were performing well.
“We know their Manager will want a reaction; they are fighting for their lives to stay in the Football League so we know it will be a tough task and we have to be ready.”
