“We are tired of him” West Ham Eye, an intriguing Moyes successor

Just a matter of weeks ago, it seemed certain that David Moyes was to be offered a new contract by West Ham. Unfortunately, the Hammers winless start to the season has seemingly put this on hold for now.

While it is still expected that his time in East London will be extended, rumours have been circling regarding potential replacements for him. That should come as no surprise, if this poor run of form continues then the club may just have to turn to someone else, with Lille’s Paulo Fonseca being one potential target, Football Fancast have reported.

Fonseca has had an extremely successful managerial career in which he has managed a number of clubs in Portugal, Shakhtar Donetsk, Roma and Lille (his current team). His style of play is the complete antithesis to how the Hammers currently play as he likes his side to play attacking football where they dominate the ball.

For those fans who dislike Moyes purely for the football that is played under him, the Portuguese manager would be exactly what they are looking for. He would be a dramatic change in every single way from Moyes, whether that is what the club needs or not remains to be seen.

The fact that the club are being linked with managers who are already employed shows that they are not going to go the cheap route if it comes to a change at the helm, they’ve just got to ensure who they bring in can keep our Irons moving in the right direction.
