Villa are looking to get back to winning ways after their 4-1 humbling by Manchester City on Wednesday evening. It was a night to forget for what was a much-changed side. The visit of the Bees is undoubtedly a more favourable fixture
Tyrone Mings, Boubacar Kamara and Emi Buendia are all out for the season and have now been joined by Jacob Ramsey after the Spaniard’s latest update.
Emery has also shared the latest on two other players who missed the trip to The Etihad this week.
Talking to the media ahead at Bodymoor Heath, Emery delivered damaging news about Ramsey’s situation.
Per Birmingham Live, he said: “Jacob Ramsey is again with some problems in his toe. He is not going to be available for the rest of the season.”
However, the Villa boss did provide a positive update on Ollie Watkins and confirmed the £28million signing will feature in the matchday squad along with Emi Martinez.
Ramsey must be so frustrated with this niggling injury. It’s clearly not impacting him too severely, but it’s not reached a point where the club feel long-term intervention is required.
Taking him out of action from now until pre-season seems like the smartest move. The 22-year-old will be able to put the issue firmly behind him and start the 2024/25 season afresh.
