Paul Warne drops exciting Derby County transfer hint as meeting planned with potential signing
Derby County have had five confirmed arrivals so far this campaign, with the Rams looking to add to a squad that saw several key players leave this summer.
Notably, Paul Warne has sought to bolster his options in the centre-of-the-park ahead of the new campaign, with the likes of Ben Osborn coming through the doors at Pride Park.
Kenzo Goudmijn, David Ozoh, and the return of former loanee Ebou Adams have also joined up with the squad, completely transforming Warne’s options that consisted of the likes of Conor Hourihane, Korey Smith and Louie Sibley last season.
Striker options have also massively improved with Kayden Jackson and Jerry Yates signing ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, however Warne is clearly not still satisfied with his squad ahead of the new season, with more signings ‘in the pipeline’.
Derby County are closing in on a sixth signing of the summer as Warne confirmed that he had a scheduled meeting with a transfer target this week.
Speaking to Derbyshire Live, Warne said: “I have a Zoom call on Tuesday with a player, but I still can’t have him until he’s with the club.
