Tyler Glasnow Reveals Special Number With The Dodgers

Tyler Glasnow #20 of the Tampa Bay Rays prepares to deliver a pitch in the second inning against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium on June 01, 2021 in the Bronx borough of New York City.

The Los Angeles Dodgers invested important resources to get Tyler Glasnow to reinforce their pitching staff.

They traded young, controllable pitcher Ryan Pepiot and outfielder Jonny DeLuca to get Glasnow and outfielder Manuel Margot from the Tampa Bay Rays.

To agree to the deal, Glasnow requested an extension, and got one: he will be paid over $136 million for the next five seasons.

Used to wearing No. 20 with the Rays, Glasnow has made a change.

“Tyler Glasnow will wear No. 31 for the Dodgers. It was his Little League number, he said,” Dodgers insider Fabian Ardaya tweeted.
