Twitter reacts to Bears showing interest in Commanders OC Eric Bieniemy

The Chicago Bears will face some important decisions this offseason, including whether to move on from current head coach Matt Eberflus. And, if that’s the case, it sounds like they already have a candidate.

The Bears are expected to show interest in Washington Commanders assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, according to Josina Anderson.

It’s a move that makes sense from a number of factors. Not only is there the Kansas City Chiefs connection between Bieniemy and general manager Ryan Poles, but Bieniemy has done wonders with quarterback Sam Howell in Washington.

As you can imagine, there was plenty of reaction to the report about Chicago’s interest in Bieniemy. While there was a little pushback about the idea, most of the reaction was positive — from Bears and NFL fans alike. Not to mention, with reports that Chicago is already considering head coach candidates, it’s not a good look for Eberflus’ future (which Bears fans love).
