The Yanks rebounded from their extra-inning loss in a big way on Saturday, demolishing the Brewers’ pitching to the point of bringing in the position players to pitch, en route to a 15-3 win. Not only did the offense get to flex some barely stretched muscles for a change, but we got to see Carlos Rodón add another quality start under his belt. All in all, it was about as good of a day as you can have, and now they’re in position to take yet another series against a tough opponent on the road.
Before they get to the series finale, we’ve got some business to run though. Peter starts us off with the rivalry roundup, featuring another White Sox upset of the Rays, and Kevin dives into a tense day for the 1999 team. Dave has some introspection on Marcus Stroman and the new leaf he’s turned over since putting on the pinstripes, and Matt has some fun remembering an error-filled contest from the early 20th century. Finally, after the game John brings us the social media spotlight.
