At last, the identity of the lookalike of Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has finally been revealed. David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal helped put a name on the face of the Steve Kerr doppelganger, and you bet, his name is also “Steve.”

The man’s name is Steve Gillis, who is also into sports.

“The doppelganger of the Golden State Warriors coach is Steve Gillis, an English teacher at Bishop Gorman High and local girls club volleyball coach.”

According to Gillis’ profile on the website of Summerlin Volleyball Academy, Gillis started to coach formally coaching volleyball in 1992. That year, Kerr was still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who then traded him in December to the Orlando Magic. Of course, that was several years before he started coaching and winning NBA titles with the Warriors, who hired him in 2014 to be the successor of Mar Jackson.

Gillis captured the imagination of NBA fans when he was seen on camera watching last Saturday’s game between the Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, two Steve Kerrs in the building were not enough to get them a win over the Spurs, with San Antonio coming away with a 126-113 win.
