Suns’ Bradley Beal Sidelined For 2 Weeks

The Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal is expected to be out for at least two weeks after he suffered a right ankle sprain, the team announced on Monday. The Suns star will be reevaluated at the start of January.

Beal incurred his injury during the Suns’ 122-139 loss to the New York Knicks on Friday night. He landed on the foot of Knicks shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo while attempting to throw a 3-pointer. He missed the Suns’ next game, a 112-108 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday night, as a result

This ankle sprain is the latest of Beal’s injury woes, with the player ruled out for three weeks in November as a result of his lingering back injury.

As a result of this setback, the star guard has played just six games all season for the Suns. Intended to form part of the Suns’ star trio alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, Beal was acquired in a trade with the Wizards during the offseason. The trio has played together just once all season.
