Steph Curry’s Status vs. Clippers Revealed

The Golden State Warriors are hosting the LA Clippers on Thursday night, and superstar point guard Steph Curry is available to play. Curry will be without some key teammates, as Andrew Wiggins, Chris Paul, and Gary Payton II are all out, but he is more than capable of winning a game on his own.

Curry has been a Clippers killer throughout his career, averaging 25.5 PPG against them for his career, and just under 30 PPG against them over the last decade. The Warriors and Clippers are in similar spots right now, both with aging stars and a team that has underperformed to start the season.

While Golden State of course has their dynasty trio that has brought four championships to The Bay, only Curry has been consistently elite and available this season. For the Clippers, their situation is different, as only Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have been together for an extended period of time, as Russell Westbrook joined late last season, and James Harden joined earlier this season. With just a half game spearing LA and Golden State in the standings, this is a big early season matchup, and one that could have major tiebreaker implications at the end of the season. Set to face off in consecutive games, the Warriors and Clippers will face each other again in LA on Saturday afternoon.
