South Carolina wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs has reaffirmed his commitment to the Gamecocks by signing a new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreement with Garnet Trust, the official NIL partner of Gamecocks Athletics.

This deal ensures Jacobs will remain in Columbia for the 2025 season, providing a veteran presence in South Carolina’s young wide receiver corps.

Jacobs transferred to South Carolina from Florida State in 2024.

In his first season with the Gamecocks, he appeared in nine regular-season games, recording 12 receptions for 181 yards.

He showcased his playmaking abilities with a season-high 59 receiving yards in the opener against Old Dominion and a season-best four catches against Oklahoma.

Head coach Shane Beamer emphasized the importance of retaining key players like Jacobs, stating, “Kudos to our fanbase, kudos to our administration, kudos to the Garnet Trust for all they’ve done to be able to help us and our guys out in so many ways.”

Beamer highlighted the program’s focus on relationships, honesty, and trust in building a cohesive team.

Jacobs’ return is expected to bolster the Gamecocks’ offense in the upcoming season. His experience and performance will be instrumental in guiding the team’s younger receivers and contributing to South Carolina’s offensive strategies.

The Garnet Trust has been pivotal in facilitating NIL agreements that benefit both the athletes and the university. By securing Jacobs’ commitment, they continue to play a significant role in maintaining the strength and continuity of South Carolina’s football program.

As the Gamecocks prepare for the 2025 season, Jacobs’ presence is anticipated to be a key factor in the team’s pursuit of success in the competitive landscape of college football.
