Bradley Chubb: Miami Dolphins man suffers season-ending injury in loss to Baltimore Ravens

NEW DELHI: Standout pass-rusher Bradley Chubb tore his right ACL in the waning minutes of Sunday’s lopsided defeat to the Baltimore Ravens in a devastating turn of events for the Miami Dolphins. An MRI conducted on Monday confirmed the team’s fears, ruling Chubb out for the playoffs and a substantial portion of the 2024 season.

The injury occurred with just 3:10 remaining in the game, during the Dolphins’ 56-19 loss to the Ravens.

Despite the game’s outcome already decided, Chubb, inexplicably still on the field, suffered the unfortunate injury. This setback adds to the Dolphins’ defensive woes, as they had previously lost edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to a torn Achilles in late November.

Bradley Chubb, the team leader in sacks with 11, played a pivotal role in the Dolphins’ defensive unit. His impressive stats included 74 tackles, 22 quarterback hits, and a league-leading six forced fumbles, with two recoveries. The loss of Chubb is undoubtedly a significant blow to Miami’s postseason aspirations.
While the Dolphins have secured a postseason berth with an 11-5 record, their focus now shifts to the crucial matchup against the Buffalo Bills (10-6) on Sunday night. A victory in this game is imperative for Miami to clinch the AFC East title and secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC.
