Ryan Leaf made a  solid statement about ‘Uphill Battle’ Next Season

They had the soon-to-be MVP, best defense in the league, home-field advantage, and were about to face the ‘worst’ version of the Kansas City Chiefs.

So, now that the Chiefs are only going to get better and the Ravens could lose several key pieces in free agency, former NFL QB Ryan Leaf believes the Ravens are set for an uphill battle in the offseason.

Talking on Good Morning Football, he explained that the Ravens might not have the salary cap flexibility to retain all of their key guys on defense, not to mention the fact that they also lost defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald to the Seattle Seahawks head coaching job.

On top of that, the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t going anywhere, and GM Brett Veach is most likely going to look to make a big splash to give QB Patrick Mahomes more weapons in the passing game.

Deshaun Watson, Joe Burrow, and Aaron Rodgers will all be back to full strength, and even the Pittsburgh Steelers could look for an upgrade at the quarterback position, and they’re always a dangerous foe.

The Ravens will still be one of the ruling forces in the game, but they may not get another chance to get back to the Super Bowl as they let last season slip right through their fingers.
