REMARKABLE: Former NBA Coach Shares His Real Thoughts About the Golden State Warriors

Legendary NBA coach Doc Rivers stopped by the KG Certified podcast recently to talk about a variety of subjects, including the Golden State Warriors.

Yes, I am concerned about Golden State, Rivers responded when asked. The last part is just like us. They could, however, yet make our 2010 run. One thing is certain: Would you like to face Golden State in the postseason? No.

While Rivers is concerned about where the Warriors are at right now, he believes they have a chance to still make a special run, much like the Boston Celtics did in 2010 before losing in the NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers.

On what the Warriors still have in their core, Rivers got honest, saying, “Draymond is still Draymond. Steph is still Steph. [Wiggins] is better. Klay is not gonna be the Klay that he was ever, because of injuries. But can still shoot the hell out of the ball, and he’ll find his rhythm there. They need one more guy, and I don’t know who that is gonna be, but man I would not wanna play them.”

Believing Golden State needs one more player, Rivers would still not want to face them in a playoff series as currently constructed, but does feel they are a piece away as things sit.
