Relief: Igor Thiago has score goals again

The latest result was a 4-0 win over Genk, with goals from Ferran Jutgla, Michal Skoras, Igor Thiago and Maxim De Cuyper proving to be the difference.

That third scorer is arguably the most important, particularly for Brentford, with that strike the first from the Brazilian since he secured his €37m move to Brentford just after the January transfer window.

He helped to ‘turn off the lights’ for his opponents but also turn them on for himself, having been stumbling around in the darkness for months in search of a goal after securing that move to Brentford.

The newspaper say it was evident ‘how happy it made him’ and we’re sure that happiness was felt all the way back at Brentford too.

They will have undoubtedly become concerned about their new man, the man they’ve decided will likely replace Ivan Toney and his lack of goals, so this one will perhaps allow everyone to breathe a nice big sigh of relief.
