Phil Parkinson drops exciting Wrexham transfer hint after landing George Dobson
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo permanently returned to the club in June after impressing during his time on loan last season.
The Red Dragons have also improved their backline options with the club snapping up Leicester City defender Lewis Brunt. Brunt had impressed on loan at Mansfield Town last season and is seen as a key addition in North Wales, with the club beating other keen suitors to the 23-year-old’s signature.
Wrexham’s latest signing was former Charlton Athletic captain George Dobson who secured a re-union with Parkinson after the pair formerly worked together at Sunderland.
However, Holywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney could be set to continue the summer spending after Parkinson’s latest transfer hint.
The Wrexham boss knows this season will be a step up in quality and has been speaking about his plans for improving the squad.
Speaking to the Leader, Parkinson said: “We are still looking to improve in areas,”
“Slowly but surely we will hopefully make those signings and come the start of the season, have a squad which is strong and competitive.
