Wolves recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League yesterday to came their hopes of European football alive.
Wanderers bounced back from the defeat to Brentford in super fashion, beating Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Gary O’Neil executing a perfect game plan.
Wolves were without key man Matheus Cunha, who is now out with a ‘significant’ hamstring injury.
But O’Neil did welcome back Hwang Hee-chan, who missed the Brentford game through injury.
He played up top with Pedro Neto and the plan was to sit in and defend and hit on the. The plan worked a treat, with Neto’s pace proving a huge issue for the hosts.
The brilliant Joao Gomes got both of Wolves’ goals, with Neto providing the assist for the Brazilian’s second goal.
