Earlier this month, we covered claims from Italy that Divock Origi could leave Nottingham Forest in the winter market and that three MLS sides have lined up to sign him.
On summer deadline day, the striker joined the Tricky Trees in a loan deal from AC Milan. This move hasn’t worked out well as he’s clocked in 178 minutes from nine league games, failing to score or register an assist.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Los Angeles FC want to take the 28-year-old away from Nottingham Forest in the winter market.
It’s explained that the US club continue to negotiate with the Serie A side, to ‘find an agreement’ for the Belgium international’s transfer.
There’s still no agreement between the two clubs, but Di Marzio claims ‘a total agreement is sought’ for a loan deal with an obligation to buy set at €5m.
He adds the talks are also ongoing between Los Angeles FC and the Nottingham Forest man, and the ‘goal is to reach an agreement’ for the contract. In this way, Origi’s ‘could leave’ Nuno Espírito Santo’s side soon.
