NFL UPDATE: Bills OT Dion Dawkins has strong words for Patrick Mahomes ahead of Sunday’s game

The rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs will hit an all-time high on Sunday as the two face off in the divisional round with a trip to the AFC Championship on the line.

However, the Bills hold a key advantage over the Chiefs this time, with it being Patrick Mahomes’ first playoff road game as Kansas City travels to Highmark Stadium.

And Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins sent a strong message to Mahomes ahead of the game, showing his faith in Buffalo’s fanbase.

“[Mahomes has] only been here once. So, he’s never been here. Simple as that,” Dawkins said. “Pat has never been to the Bills’ stadium in full. … The environment will be different and not to say it’s in our favor, but stadium is our favor. Stadium is us. That helps us”

“I don’t care what nobody says. This is the most dopest feeling I’ve ever had. We’re having two back-to-back playoff games home. Come on now, like we get to leave and go eat wings.”

So with that, he had one key message to Mahomes: “Good luck.”

Bills Mafia always shows up for their team, and they have proven that in the past two weeks. Fans have shown up to Highmark Stadium prior to the games, helping clear out the snow. However, I’m sure they are leaving a little in there, with the snow flying as part of the celebration’s during the Bills win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round. It was so memorable and the players took notice (and they loved it).

There is no fanbase quite like Bills Mafia and Dawkins along with the rest of the team has complete faith that they can help rattle any opponent.

And not to mention the last time Mahomes played in Buffalo was during the 2020 season when no fans were allowed at the games. So this will surely be different for him.

Dawkins has done his part, so now it’s time for the fans to live up to these expectations.
