NEWS JUST IN: Kevin Durant Responds to Draymond Green’s Comments About Him

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green released an episode of The Draymond Green Show upon the NBA reinstating him from his indefinite suspension, and one of the topics he addressed was Kevin Durant’s comments about him.

Durant, who of course was present when Green struck his Phoenix Suns teammate Jusuf Nurkic, said he hopes his former Warriors teammate gets the help he needs. Green admitted those comments initially upset him, but added he was able to take a step back and not view Durant’s use of the word “help” in such a negative way.

When asked about this following Monday night’s game against the LA Clippers, Durant said, “Before I had made those comments, they were saying Draymond’s going to therapy and sh-t. Like what am I supposed to think? They say somebody going to therapy, I’m hoping he gets better from that… I know some people look at me as this malicious snake, passive aggressive. I know how people feel about me sometimes… I don’t mean no harm to nobody. I don’t mean to disrespect him or his family if he felt that way. I’m just glad he’s back on the court.”

Certain headlines can misconstrue what somebody meant to say, as Green saying he was “pissed” by Durant’s comments got a lot more headline attention than him walking that initial feeling back a bit, but the bottom line is that Durant meant no ill will.
