Jose Mourinho reportedly felt betrayed by his Roma squad after his dismissal, leaving a ring gifted to him by the squad at their Trigoria training ground.
The 61-year-old Portuguese coach was unceremoniously dismissed by the Giallorossi last month following a painful 3-1 loss away to Milan, ending his 30-month spell in the dugout in the Italian capital.
The move did not go down well with fans, but Daniele De Rossi’s strong start has calmed the Roma fanbase. Mourinho was linked with the Napoli job, but things have fallen quiet and he’s still out of work for the time being.
As reported by Il Messaggero via TMW, Mourinho left a ring given to him by the Roma squad after their Conference League victory inside Lorenzo Pellegrini’s locker at their Trigoria training ground after his sacking from the club last month.
The Portuguese coach allegedly felt betrayed by his Giallorossi players, who immediately backed the choice of Daniele De Rossi following his dismissal.
Mourinho has a history of giving away items commemorating his tournament successes, throwing various medals into the crowd over the years.
