Miovski Aberdeen price tag set as Celtic learn transfer budget

Aberdeen have reportedly slapped their price tag on Bojan Miovski after clubs across the UK and Europe registered their interest in his services.

Miovski has been far and away Aberdeen’s standout performer this season, in which despite their poor league position, he’s been the only constant with goals galore in European competition and nine in the Scottish Premiership – ahead of next best Jamie McGrath, who boasts six in the top-flight.

It’s led to interest from elsewhere, including current champions Celtic as they aim to bolster their ranks after a slight dip in form throughout December – though with Miovski and Lawrence Shankland performing well for the Dons and Hearts respectively, both clubs aiming to be the ‘best of the rest’ will be hoping to squeeze the maximum out of their prized assets before selling their stars on to yield huge profits.

And according to Sky Sports, whilst the Macedonian hasn’t been subject to any offers just yet in the window, Dave Cormack and his team will be bracing themselves for interest from across the continent.

And that’s why the Dons are looking to smash their transfer sale record if they were to accept any bids – with that fee currently being held by academy product Calvin Ramsay, who joined Liverpool last summer for a fee of around £5million.

Clubs in Germany, Italy and Spain have already supposedly registered their interest, alongside Celtic who are in the hunt for a new striker with Oh off to the Asian Cup and more firepower potentially needed for the long-term.

At just 24 years of age, Miovski’s respectable tally of over 25 goals in just under 60 games has him as one of the best performing strikers in the Scottish top-flight since the start of last season and not yet at his prime, he’s only likely to improve.

With 15 goals in all competitions already this season for the Granite City club, and with a solid 19 to build upon from last season, Miovski has proved himself on European and cup stages – especially the continent where he bagged four goals in seven games for the Dons in the Europa Conference League this season.
