Where We’re At
Despite the struggles and anger amounting from some fans, the Bucks still find themselves just two games back of the first-place Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference race. They’re also one game behind the surging Orlando Magic. Rebounding has been a struggle for the Bucks as of late, especially in that loss to the Bulls. Chicago boasted a +8 rebounding advantage in the effort, including the reeling in of 14 offensive boards. Milwaukee will surely want to do a better job of taking care of the basketball, as they coughed it up 21 times.
Atlanta is split right down the middle regarding their record, as they currently stand at 9-9 and are slotted into the 9th spot in the East. They just snatched a win on the road against the San Antonio Spurs, utilizing their hot shooting in the victory. Like the Bucks, rebounding was an issue for the Hawks, but still, they were able to ride their shooting to the victory. Trae Young has been having a bounce-back year. He currently averages 26.8 PPG and will need to have eyes on him at all times.
Injury Report
For the Bucks, Andre Jackson Jr. is questionable (lower back spasms). Pat Connaughton (right ankle sprain) and Jae Crowder (left abductor surgery) remain sidelined. Bolten, Washington, Jr., and Wigginton are all available (two-way).
Kobe Bufkin (thumb), Mouhamed Gueye (back), and Wisconsin-native Jalen Johnson (thumb) are all out for the Hawks.
Player to Watch
Give me Giannis Antetokounmpo. It may be cliche, but I’m feeling another massive performance from him. Trae Young and Dejounte Murray have been absolutely lethal for the Hawks. This is going to be a high-scoring game, especially considering the Hawks’ offensive rating. That’ll result in Giannis going off. Lillard will surely get his moments, but Giannis will be the one who carries the bulk of the load and leads the Bucks to victory.
