Man City to sign Leeds Gorman after £1.2m bid accepted.

Man City are set to complete the imminent signing of Leeds sensation Finley Gorman after reaching a full agreement on a record-breaking deal totalling £1.2million, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that the 15-year-old will join the Premier League giants following months-long negotiations with the Championship side.

As revealed by Football Insider last month (15 November), the Citizens had reached a full agreement with the Whites for the starlet, but the deal is now set to be finalised.

Leeds have accepted the seven-figure bid for the attacking midfielder, which is a record transfer fee for a 15-year-old.

Gorman will sign on an initial scholarship at the Etihad which will then be converted into a professional deal when he is eligible at the age of 17.

Daniel Farke’s side are unhappy to see the youth talent depart Elland Road and held extensive talks to try and persuade him to stay at the club.

But Pep Guardiola’s side made a concerted move behind the scenes to secure the youngster, who made up his mind on the move after visiting the Premier League champions’ state-of-the-art training complex.

Gorman is considered one of Leeds’ best young prospects and has made five appearances in the under-18s Premier League this season, bagging two goals and one assist.

He has also featured for England’s under-16 side this season and earned starts in friendlies against Italy and France, making his debut at this level aged just 14.
