Lakers : Reaves’ Ridiculous Slam Against Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 107-97 Saturday night in L.A. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 27 points and 14 rebounds, but it was Austin Reaves who drew some attention with his second-quarter slam.

Reaves finished the game with 18 points and four rebounds on 22 minutes of play. The guard started the season in the Lakers’ starting five but has performed well coming off the bench.

Davis now has three straight games with over 27 points and 14 rebounds as the Lakers prepare to face the Phoenix Suns in the quarterfinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament on Tuesday night.

Star forward LeBron James has continued to play at a high level despite being 38 years old. Averaging 24.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game, LeBron has led the Lakers to a 12.9 record.

For Reaves, a strong performance solidifies the Lakers’ confidence in a player who hasn’t had the strongest season after breaking out in the playoffs last season.

The Lakers will face Phoenix in Crypto.com Arena Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. PST. The hope is that Reave can offer up another huge performance to advance the Lakers deeper in the In-Season Tournament.
