Lakers Injury: Ham Explains Vincent’s Return

Your Los Angeles Lakers have been without their backup point guard, Gabe Vincent, for all but four games this season. Vincent has been dealing with left knee effusion, causing him to miss 17 of the 21 games the 12-9 Purple and Gold have played.

Many are wondering when the 6’3″ vet will return, as it was first assumed he’d only miss two weeks, but Lakers head coach Darvin Ham provided a positive update on the 27-year-old, as Jovan Buha of The Athletic details.

Vincent was supposed to be re-evaluated this week, but that has yet to transpire. The Lakers have dealt with some key injuries only a quarter of the way through the season. Luckily, they are healthy at the moment with only Vincent being out, but hopefully, that changes in the coming weeks regarding the first-year Laker.

Nonetheless, this is good news, as the Lakers have been shorthanded many times during the season. Whether it’s Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura, Jaxson Hayes, or Cam Reddish, the Lakers have been depleted, but hopefully, things are trending upward in the health department. Hopefully, the Purple and Gold can get a full and healthy team in no time, as they’ll look to compile a winning streak.
