Coventry City have appointed former Nottingham Forest executive John Taylor as chief operating officer, a newly created title at the club with a Premier League brief.
The announcements comes less than 24 hours after chief executive Dave Boddy revealed he is leaving the Sky Blues in January, almost exactly seven years after joining the club in League Two. Taylor, who left Forest in September after six years at the City Ground, will start his role at Coventry from January 1, 2024.
Taylor joined the Reds in 2017, initially as the club’s Head of Finance before going on to become Finance Director and finally Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the East Midlands club’s return to top flight football via the Championship play-offs in May 2022.
