Crysencio Summerville transfer update at West Ham United as Leeds United exit nears

West Ham United are expected to complete the signing of Crysencio Summerville on Friday 2 August, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported via X on Friday (2 August) that the Leeds United winger is set to end his spell at Elland Road and finalise his move to the London Stadium “later today”.

Reports had suggested the Dutchman was undergoing the second part of his medical with the Hammers hoping they were able to finalise the transfer soon after [Dharmesh Sheth, 2 August].

Julen Lopetegui’s side are expected to pay an initial fee in excess of £25million for Summerville’s signature, with further fees also expected to be paid in add-ons in the future [Sean Whetstone, 1 August].

The Hammers were always expected to add to their attacking ranks this summer as Lopetegui puts his stamp on the squad left behind by David Moyes, but this feels as though it could be an excellent piece of business.

Summerville was the Championship’s player of the season last term. While some will question whether the standard is comparable with the Premier League, the Dutchman has garnered attention from some of the division’s biggest clubs.
