So, it seems like the Ruben Amorim to West Ham United dream is over for now, but an absoltuely brilliant alternative is apparently being lined up.
Ruben Amorim was firmly on West Ham United’s radar last week, when a shock report emerged claiming that we had opened talks with the 39-year-old Sporting CP boss.
The Hammers fanbase were beyond excited after hearing the rumours linking us with Amorim as a replacement for David Moyes.
However, that excitement quickly turned to dismay when it was claimed that the Sporting boss would not be moving to the London Stadium, and then Chelsea eyed up a move for the talented young coach.
Amorim was then forced to apologise to the Sporting fans for flying over to London to hold talks with West Ham midway through the season.
And now the Hammers appear to be going down a different route…
West Ham now ‘turning the needle’ to appoint Ruben Amorim alternative
The Portuguese moving to the London Stadium before the start of next season is now looking highly unlikely.
