Just In: Darvin Ham Reveals How Lakers Are Looking to Limit Opponents’ Offenses

All season long, the Los Angeles Lakers have been defined as inconsistent from game to game. One night, they look like they could seriously compete for a championship, while on another, they look like one of the worst teams in the entire NBA.

It’s been a frustrating experience for all involved, holding the team back in the standings. One of their main issues has been on the defensive side of the floor, where at times, it seems that the Lakers can’t stop anyone.

Injuries have played a part in their poor defensive output, but head coach Darvin Ham has been working to attack the issue. He said that the team has been looking to see how they can slow down the three-pointers that opposing squads have been able to hit against the Lakers.

If Los Angeles can figure out the problem, it would vastly improve their chances. The Lakers’ defense has normally been a strength of theirs over the years, but without some key players available, it has tanked.

Even if the team could get their defense to an average ranking across the league, Los Angeles would be much tougher to beat. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing well for the majority of the season, the Lakers should be better than where they are.

The hope is that the team can fix their defensive issues, potentially by getting back some key players from injury. If they want to make any noise in the postseason, getting the defense corrected will be key.
