The idea of LeBron James and Steph Curry teaming up is one that’s been floating in NBA circles quite heavily recently. It’s been a dream pairing, but more and more is looking like it could possibly happen in the future. It’s an idea Draymond Green believes would work.
On Carmelo Anthony’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Draymond Green opened up about the idea of LeBron James joining the Golden State Warriors.
“Locker room wise, I think you have mature individuals that understand each other because we are all the same, an appreciation for where we are in our space, likeminded individuals,” Green said. “How does it work? We’re all secure in who we are and so I think that works no problem.”
When it comes to actual basketball fit, Green believes LeBron joining the Warriors would be incredibly easy. Mainly because the Warriors are a very seasoned team, used to sacrificing for the greater cause.
“The basketball, I think that’s the easiest part because you got a bunch of guys who know the game and are not in competition with the next guy, like very at peace with where they are,” said. “And so, the number one thing would be to win. You also have a group of guys that know how to win and so I think in looking at it, I think that team would win a championship, no problem.”
While LeBron James joining the Golden State Warriors still sounds incredibly unlikely, you never really know what’s going to happen until after the playoffs. Who knows what happens to either team if they don’t make it out of the play-in tournament?
