“I’m delighted to become Stoke City family.”-Andrew Moran

Stoke City have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland internationalmidfielder Andrew Moran, who joins the Potters on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 20-year-old arrives in ST4 following a temporary spell at Blackburn Rovers in 23/24, during which he contributed six assists and two goals in 19 Championship starts.

Moran became Bray Wanderers’ youngest-ever League of Ireland player when he made his first team debut aged 15, one year prior to his move to the Seagulls in July 2020.

Since moving to the South Coast, the Dubliner has starred for Albion’s Academy sides, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists in 42 PL2 appearances, having registered a further 23 direct goal contributions in 24 matches in Under-18s football.

He made his senior international debut for Ireland in November and has also featured on 11 occasions for his country’s Under-21s.

Stoke City Sporting Director Jonathan Walters said: “Andrew is a young player with a bright future high up in the game, and someone we believe is ready to make an impact in the Championship this season.

“He is the kind of player that will get our supporters off their seats – an intelligent, creative player with an eye for goal and his work-rate is phenomenal.

“He’s highly rated by Brighton and the ex perience he gained from his first loan in the Championship last season will stand him in good stead to hit the ground running this time around.
