Stoke City midfielder Bae Junho says the award has won the Potters’ supporters’ vote for the 23/24 Player of the Season, sponsored by bet365.
The 20-year-old has become a firm fans’ favourite during his debut campaign in red and white following his cross-continent move from Daejeon Hana Citizen.
The City faithful have serenaded their ‘South Korean King’ from the stands throughout his first eight months as a Potter, during which time the playmaker has become a key player in Steven Schumacher’s first team.
Junho, who narrowly pipped fellow summer signing Wouter Burger to the accolade, has provided six assists and scored two goals in his first Championship campaign.
The Potters’ number 22 will be presented with his award by Sporting Director Jonathan Walters and Club legend Mark Stein – both previous winners of the accolade – at 12.15pm on Saturday, ahead of the season finale against Bristol City at the bet365 Stadium.
