How Did Phillies Floated As Top Landing Spot For Polarizing Ex-Red Sox Hurler

What a difference a year makes. Former Boston Red Sox hurler Ryan Brasier is a free agent and seemingly has a robust market. Last offseason he still was with Boston and some thought the club would let him go.

Brasier remained with Boston through the start of the season and made 20 appearances with the club and logged a 7.29 ERA before being designated for assignment and eventually released.

The veteran hurler signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers and completely turned things around. Brasier shined with Los Angeles and had a minuscule 0.70 ERA in 39 appearances with an eye-popping 38-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

While with the Dodgers, Brasier switched up his pitch mix and shined. He now is a free agent and is looking for his next opportunity. He joined the Dodgers on a minor league during the season and now likely will land a big league deal and will have multiple choices.
