Guardiola to make four changes, Man City vs Brentford line-up

With Manchester City set to travel to West London to face Brentford, we had a stab at calling their predicted lineup for the clash.

Despite their convincing 3-1 win against Burnley, we expect Pep Guardiola to reshuffle his side by making four changes.

Our predicted Manchester City lineup to face Brentford starts off with Ederson Moraes in goal, who will be looking to keep a clean sheet as his side have only kept one in their last 10 Premier League fixtures.

At right-back, however, the young Rico Lewis could be replaced by the more experienced Kyle Walker.

As John Stones returned to the starting XI against Burnley, he put in an extremely accomplished display that may well have cemented his place in his side’s side to feature in the contest at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Alongside the Englishman could be Ruben Dias, as per our predicted lineup that Manchester City could put out against Brentford. In the process, the Portuguese centre-half could displace Josko Gvardiol after being on the bench against Burnley.

Nathan Ake could play at left-back instead of the Croatian after starting at centre-back against Vincent Kompany’s side.

In our view, Rodri was hooked off in the 87th minute by Pep Guardiola to give him a breather in preparation for City’s upcoming encounter.

Bernardo Silva could also take Matheus Nunes’ place in the middle of the park, according to our predicted Manchester City lineup to feature against Brentford.

After putting in a sharp display upon his return to the starting side for the Sky Blues on Wednesday, Kevin De Bruyne is expected to keep his place in the team behind the striker.

Phil Foden, who assisted Rodri’s stunner was typically influential against Burnley and he is likely to start on the right wing against Brentford.

The same can be said about Jeremy Doku on the opposite flank, who was a man possessed during his side’s latest triumph.

Perhaps controversially, despite Julian Alvarez’s brilliant brace against Burnley, he could make way for Erling Haaland in the XI.

The £375,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man came on for the last 25 minutes as a substitute in the Sky Blues’ latest win and perhaps the intention was to give him some game time ahead of their clash against Thomas Frank’s side.

Manchester City predicted lineup vs Brentford: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Haaland, Doku
