At Oklahoma, Arnold began the 2024 season as the starting quarterback but faced challenges, including a midseason benching. He regained his starting position later in the season, finishing with 1,421 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and three interceptions over ten games. Additionally, he showcased his dual-threat capabilities by rushing for 444 yards and three touchdowns.
Auburn’s head coach, Hugh Freeze, expressed enthusiasm about Arnold’s fit for the Tigers’ offense, highlighting his proficiency with the run-pass option (RPO) system and his deep-ball accuracy.
