5. Isaac Hutchinson (Walsall) – 8.30 rating
Isaac Hutchinson took his assist tally to 11 for the season when he provided for Ryan Stirk early on in Walsall’s eventual 3-2 defeat to Bradford. That assist came from one of four key passes, and he was unfortunate not to score as he struck the woodwork with one of six shots. An additional nine tackles saw Hutchinson return a WhoScored.com rating of 8.30.
4. George Thomson (Harrogate) – 8.64 rating
Harrogate and MK Dons played out an eight-goal thriller at the EnviroVent Stadium on Saturday afternoon and while the Sulphurites ultimately crashed to a 5-3 home defeat, George Thomson excelled in the loss. Thomson netted twice, and struck the woodwork a further two times against MK Dons, while a further three aerial duels won saw him yield a WhoScored.com rating of 8.64.
3. Andy Cook (Bradford) – 8.74 rating
Andy Cook was the hero for Bradford as the experienced forward scored one and assisted another in the Bantams’ eventual 3-2 win at Walsall. Those came from respective returns of two shots and one key pass, while 10 aerial wins saw Cook land a WhoScored.com rating of 8.74.
2. Kyle Wootton (Stockport) – 9.17 rating
Stockport celebrated their title success with a fine 4-2 home win over Accrington with Kyle Wootton shining for the League Two champions. The striker netted twice against Accrington, getting the better of Radek Vetek with two of six shots, and won seven aerial duels on his way to a WhoScored.com rating of 9.17.
1. Ollie Palmer (Wrexham) – 9.53 rating
With a WhoScored.com rating of 9.53, Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer is the League Two player of the week. Wrexham made light work of Crewe at the Mornflake Stadium, with Palmer on hand to contribute to two of three goals in a 3-0 win. The 32-year-old netted with one of three shots and provided the assist for Paul Mullin’s goal on the stroke of half time with one of three key passes.
