ESPN: Stephen Curry’s Powerful Message for Cameron Brink After Draft Decision

Cameron Brink has established herself as one of the best young players in women’s college basketball today. And after a huge decision regarding her future was announced, Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Stephen Curry can’t help but be excited by the Stanford Cardinals forward’s future.

Just recently, Brink announced that she is bypassing her last year in Stanford and declaring for the WNBA Draft. The Cardinals star is projected to be picked withing the top three.

According to the latest mock drafts by ESPN, Brink is projected to be selected by the Los Angeles Sparks using the second pick. She is also seen as one of the best two-way players in college, and a potential star when she enters the WNBA soon.

Brink will soon be a three-time All-American, and was named as the Pac-12 Player of the Year just recently. The 6’4″ forward was a crucial piece in Stanford’s run in 2021 when the team won the national championship.

Among the accolades Brink has won include getting the Defensive Player of the Year twice, being named to the NCAA All-Region team, and becoming champion with the Cardinals in 2021.

Apart from congratulating his godsister, Curry also mentioned Brink has unfinished business left in the NCAA Tournament. The All-Star guard added the Cardinals forward should take a moment to pat herself on the back for reaching this moment in her career.

The WNBA Draft is schedule to happen on April 15. By then, Brink’s fate in the pros and which team will select her will be known.
